The workers had no right to strike and the country had no real self-government. Congressmen and senators were hand-picked and all opposition was suppressed. Rebellion soon broke out. A tough pleasant leader who wanted land for the Indians rebelled. The rebellion eventually brought about the election of fair government. OLE!
